Woo Hoo

I went in for my annual physical today, and my family md completely agrees with me that I should have WLS!! Having his support is going to help soooooooooo much!! He says that I am an excellent candidate, and that he wants me to have the surgery now, before I end up with a bunch of co-morbidities. Also.... and this is the best part... he thinks that we WILL get my insurance to pre-approve the surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told him they will not cover it unless I have been on a physician supervised weight loss program for at least 3 years, and he said that we have plenty of documentation of that!! He is AWESOME!! He is getting a letter ready to send to the insurance company, stating that he feels it is medically nesscessary for me to have WLS, that there is a history of heart attack and heart disease in my family, that I have been trying for years to lose weight, and for the last 5 years under his supervision! Woo Hoo! He just made my day today! Anyway.. just had to share the GREAT news!! Take care, Mandi

Congratulations Mandi! I'm so excited for you. I remember the feeling when I felt I was ready for WLS and the support was there to file for approval. Keep us posted on your progress. We'll be here to cheer you on. Eileen
