Okay, I'm suppose to eat 3 oz of protein at a meal. I am also suppose to eat only until full. That doesn't match up. If it's something I really have to chew, like tonight I had salmon, I get full way before 3 oz. If it's pureed, no problem. I understand why but how do you get all the protein in if you have to chew and get full so quick????? At least tonight, I recognized that I was full and I quit. No barfing tonight. Almost, but not.

Hi Lyn: So glad to hear you didn't get sick tonight. Your surgery is very new. I am 4 months out and I am just starting to get all my protien in. I still can't eat more than about a half a cup of food and even less if it is all protein. You just have to do the best you can. Alot of folks use supplements. I use Isopure sport drink to help me get about 20g of my protien each day the rest I get from food. It will get better for you as you progress. You may also want to ask you dietician or surgeons office for suggestions. Keep on keeping it down, Eileen

Hi girls, Just keep track of how much protein you can get done. You can use a protein shake to supplement it at first. Don't push yourself. You don't want to stretch the pouch out.
