6/7/04 Roll call and goals
Eileen,
Glad that you are getting online more often now. How was the support group? Are there still hard feelings between those that run it and the center? Sounds like water and exercise are good goals.
Yep - classes are at Ambrose. Monday through Thursday 1:00-4:00 for the next 2 and a half weeks and then every Saturday morning this month. YUK!!! And trying to finish a class independent study. I will try to stop in sometime, but may be next week because hubby is being forced in to work every night this week and has to leave at about 4:30. (By the way, I am not going to class today because my teen had his wisdom teeth out this morning and the doctor said that I should stay home - not just skipping cuz I want to!)
Saw Hitchings yesterday when I went in because his class was in the classroom that my class was supposed to meet in. He gave me a great big hug and said that I looked good as he walked me to the new room that my class was in.
Well, hope to meet you soon,
Andrea

I have been going insane with work and the kids so I have not been doing anything fitness-wise for myself for a while. I think I need to make (and keep) some goals for the next week or 2.
1. Walk at least a mile every other day.
2. Drink more water, less beer. (Paula, you too! LOL)
3. Spend more quality time with my children... I need to worry about the housework and dishes AFTER they go to bed and read more stories to them.
4. Visit my father once a week from here on out, whether he wants me to or not.
5. GET MY FLIPPIN INTERNET HOOKED BACK UP!!
Good luck with your goals, everyone!!!
Julie
Hello all,
Being new here I hope you all can keep me motivated and help me to set realistic goals. Just a quick note about me. I am 1 week post op today. I started at 242 and today I weighed in at 213 at Dr.'s office, (at home it is 207, that is the one I go by 'cause I see it every day ). I am feeling good and walk every day now, I refuse to break that promise to my dog ever again. It was hard to get enough liquids the first couple days but that is going better. I am still on a clear liquid diet for one more week then purieed foods, I am actually excited about that! I get the feeling not all doctors approach this in the same way. I was on a clear liquid diet for two weeks before surgery and now for two weeks after, then I can do soft and purieed foods for 6 weeks before starting on the real stuff. I have been so motivated that this will be the answer to my prayers. I have not cheated once on any step, but it is getting harder. I soooo want to try some mashed potatoes and a poached egg. I am ready for something more than chicken broth and protien drinks.
My goals are:
1. Walking at least 30 min. a day
2. Getting all those liquids in (all 64+ ozs.)
3. No food until told to do so, no matter how I feel.
4. Do something nice for my husband, because he is the best.
5. Enjoy the summer, No School worries, No students, No homework!
