New Here

Hello my name is Jackie Graham, I live in Dunkerton, IA. I just had lap RNY surgery on June 2, 2004. I just wanted to introduce myself, as I have been lurking for a couple days now. I am enjoying your conversations and learning a great deal about what to expect with my new life. On a personal note, I live in the country and raise llamas. I have promised my dog that we will walk every day and I am finally living up to that promise. I have made her that promise before and not been able to follow through. I am married and we have two almost grown children. Our son is in Denver CO attending college and our daughter will be in her last year of high school in the fall. Are any of you from around the Waterloo, Cedar Falls area? It was nice to meet you.

Hello jackie~nice to meet you!! I don't live in the waterloo/cedar falls area.......but Iam there almost every other weekend....I live in Dubuque, but we go to Charles City a lot and Waterloo is like my stomping grounds...Maybe we can meet sometme......Congrats on the surgery! Jesi

Jackie, Welcome to the boards... I live in Independence and had surgery 4/14. I'm down 39 lbs since surgery and 50 total. My dog also loves our walks and has been giving me the evil eye since I started Curves and am not walking! Let us know if you have questions and welcome to the losing side! Janie

Janie, Thanks for the welcome. Independance is not very far from me, I am just 3 miles S. of Dunkerton. I also plan on starting at curves, how many weeks out were you when you started? Do you like curves? Tell me a little about it. Thanks, TTFN Jackie G.
