Think infection is back

I am so bummed. Started running a fever again today and the area right around the G tube hole is getting more sore. I'll call the doc first thing in the morning. I'm sure the infection is back cuz I just don't feel good again. I'm just so ready to feel better. It's like 2 steps forward and 1 1/2 back. On the plus side, the scale finally did move. Three pounds in 2 days. Those are the 3 I gained last week. At least I'm back to where I started last week. Lyn

Poor girl.....I hope everything turns out okay.....You are only a month out, not even, I still felt crappy at this stage! Plus with a G-tube and infections, you will retain water.....Soon Soon Soon you should start to feel better and everything will be worth it......I am sending you good wishes- Take Care Jesi

So sorry to hear this Lyn. Due to itching & redness (no infection) I bought some A&D ointment with Zinc & applied that to the bandage. Worth a try for you. Being a diabetic mine was healing slower but once I started using that seems like the healing process speeded up for me. Good luck to you. Hugs, Carolyn

Surgeon says I'm fine. I peaked at 100.6 yesterday. He said call if it gets to 101. So this afternoon I'm calling to find out who's on call tonight. The strange thing is that the G-tube hole actually looks pretty good today. So maybe whatever it is/was, I'm done now. I hope. I'm suppose to go back to work on Monday.

Glad to hear you are okay. I think that tubes are the worst part of surgery.
