Kelli How quickly you lose weight depends a lot on how much you have to lose. For those losing 40-50 pounds in just 4 weeks, they likely had A LOT of weight to lose. If you have less to lose (100 lb or less), you will lose it slower. I am at 5 weeks and -29 pounds. I want to lose 85 pounds total. Don't get discouraged. It sounds like you're doing great!

Hi Kelli, First of all CONGRATS on your loss. You are doing better than me ! My surgery was 4 weeks ago today, 4/20, & I have lost 19 lbs so far. Like you I thought I would really drop it off like that. Laura & I were talking the other day about losing slowly & we both agree it's probably best that way, gives the tummy a chance to shrink with you. Do you find the inches are melting away? Mine are instead of the weight. Remember also that everyone is different, our metabilism (spelling sorry) is way different than someone else's. You are doing a great job, the weight will go. Hugs...Carolyn

I looked at your profile and it looks like you started with a lower BMI. So, you are considered a "light weight". Most people who have lost 40 - 50 lbs have alot more weight to lose than you. 25 lbs is great for a month out. When have you ever lost 25 lbs in a month? Be proud of your accomplishment. Regarding protein rich foods: cottage cheese, yogurt, cheese, refried beans, eggs, chicken salad.

Hello Kelli~ My surgeons office says 50 by 3 months, and 100 pounds by 6 months.......You are doing great with the 25....For the first month it drops off fast...then it will slow down as your body catches up! But sounds like you are doing great!!! I am from Charles City.....I live in Dubuque now, but I am often back there! Me you and Judi D should meet up sometime!!! Take Care jesi
