I'm having my surgery in Belvidere, IL. at the Barix Treatment Center (formerly Bariatric Treatment Center). I work in Dubuque and go to Clarke College, so that would be great if we could get together , thanks! Deb

Welcome Deb, this is a great site we are supportive and friendly. i had my surgery in dec. and if you ask anyone in here i am the one with complications. so if you would like to know if you can have complications and survive yes you can. if you ever need to chat i am always here for you and anyone......lynda

Hi Deb. I too had surgery at the BTC and can honestly say I have had no problems. Never vomited, no food issues at all. I have been very happy with their program and the success I have had (I am down over 115# and am close to goal).
