Just got back from the surgeon and dietician. Am eating my "delicious" SF cherry Jello and getting ready to do the dreaded bowel prep. So far, I'm not nervous. Just really excited to be almost on the losing side. One thing the doc said that I didn't know, was not to expect to lose anything the first week and I may actually gain. But not to worry cuz week 2 it starts falling off. Thanks for all your support so far! It's been really appreciated and a great source of knowledge. See you on the other side!

Yeah it is surprising when you hop on the scale after surgery and your up 10 pounds.....I about fell of my rocker......But it is water weight and all that trapped gas.....By the time I left the hospital (6 days later) I had already lost all of the water weight and the gas and had started losing! Good luck with everything.....It is an awesome journey and we will all be here for you afterwards! I am fortunate I guess my surgeon doesn't require bowel preps.....But best of luk in that too! Take Care and Congrats Jesi
