Newbie

Hello all, this is my first time to the site, and after looking around and reading some of your stories, what I've been wishing for for the past two years I am ready to achieve. I'm not sure what to say or do, because I'm still a bit lost, but thanks to all who posted their stories, they are truly inspirational. -Miranda

Miranda, Introducing yourself is a wonderful first step - welcome. Have you contacted a surgeon yet? I'm sure that someone who is closer to you could give you some good recommendations. Thanks for posting...I went through Grinnell Regional Medical Center with Dr. Schwartz. There are a lot of good doctors in your area....Ames, DSM, Boone. Do a lot of research and choose one that you like. Post questions and e-mail us..we would all love to give you tips. Good Luck in your journey. I have heard a lot of good things about Grinnell Regional. Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Coster both included in this. There is only one problem, I have no insurance and even when I get it through my employer, I will have coventry and they don't cover wls, so I'm kinda at the end of my ropes seeing as how I don't even know where to begin looking.
