Sleep Study Over
Good Lord was that ever uncomfortable!
First off, I had the cute, muscular, young guy for a tech. Gee...couldn't it have been anyone else? Old guy, woman? Geezzzz!
Then the laying on the back thing. Yuck! Talk about pain in the lower back and legs from that! He finally let me roll over after I asked. The second time he asked me to lay on my back I was there about 5 minutes and couldn't take it anymore. I finally got some good sleep after he came in about 3am and put more gel on a few of the electrodes on my head. The really bad thing was I was looking forward to watching cable tv (we don't have cable or satelllite)...well go figure...there wasn't a thing on so I wound up watching Channel 5 (Extreme Makeover) but I missed the last 1/2 hour while getting hooked up. sigh.
Tuesday I had the appointment with the Dietician and Surgeon. Dr. Cahalan at Mercy is a great guy. Very down to earth, and genuine. Tells you like it is.
Now I wait.

Kelly -- That sleeping on your back thing they make you do....that's just a test to see if you can do it after surgery! haha
I had surgery last Tuesday, and still have to sleep on my back every night. I can't wait until I can roll over onto my side (still way too uncomfortable!)
Are you going to Mercy's support group meeting this month? I went to them several times before while a pre-op, and it was very helpful to hear from the post-ops about what it was life, tips, etc. I can let you know when it is if you don't know. Thanks for keeping us posted.
