Two weeks!
Two weeks from today I will be joining the losing side! I never thought it was a good thing to be called a loser, but I can't wait! I thought I might be nervous, but after my freaking out when I saw the dietician, I really am calm about it all and looking forward to the day when I can tie my shoes in the middle, use a regular size restroom stall with ease, fit into an airline seat, etc.
Saw my rheumatologist today. He's had a run-in with the psycho psychologist. He wasn't impressed with him. That's an understatement. He thought I would have a lot of relief from the osteo-arthritis. I can't wait.
You all take care this week. Probably won't be online until we get back from Cleveland.

The dietician freaked me out about how small a sip and bite I will have to take. It's hard for a gulper to grasp that concept! She was really pretty good but I guess the reality of what I am doing really hit home that day. I wondered if I would ever be able to eat my favorite foods again. But support from this board and the main one has given me the information I need and the hope that I may be able to eat some of those foods in the future in moderation.
I'm glad you psychologist was good. They can't all be like the one I saw. I may ask for his name after surgery if I can't get a handle on the head hunger and mourning food.
I am just too busy to be nervous right now. We leave for Cleveland Sat AM and I haven't started packing. Plus trying to get everyone trained to do my job while I'm out. I'm thinking in about a week it might hit.
Hugs,
Lyn
