Well, I will try to answer all of the questions from my previous post in no specific order: My date went well, I think. We went to see Johnson Family Reunion - what a hoot. After that we went to a Japanese Hibachi(?sp) Restaurant. That was an interesting experience - it is one of those places where they cook the food in front of you, etc. It was fun as well. We spent a lot of time talking. I think we were both a little nervous since it was a blind date. Hopefully she will see me again - will wait and see.
My diet/exercise plan - First of all I carry around a 64oz mug of water every day. Most days I have to refill it. I am to the point where I actually eat "normally". I am a teacher, so I normally eat school breakfast and lunch - the other faculty members love eating with me, because I give them what I don't eat. Anyway, for supper I will eat something small - I might grill a small pork chop and eat some hash browns with it, or I will eat an egg. Basically my supper is my smallest meal of my day - I usually have to force myself to eat it - mainly for the protein. I was told to try and get my protein through food instead of a supplement, which is next to impossible since they want me to get 70g.
For exercise, I walk between 5 and 10 miles a day. I have a beagle that brings me his leash as soon as I walk in the door. I also golf several times each week - walking. When the weather is bad, I go to our schools weight room and do a weight routine. That hasbeen few and far between lately, however. I also coach jh volleyball and jh and hs girls basketball so I get exercise by participating in drills with the athletes. Fortunately for me, is the fact that I have always been very active - I just needed a little help with the whole wl thing.
I will quit rambling on now. Good Luck.
I forgot to answer the insurance question - I have a Midlands Choice PPO through Principal Financial. Since I am a teacher, it is through ISEBA (Iowa School Employee Benefit Association). I know the website address is www.principal.com.
Wow - it sounds like you are doing wonderfully in all aspects. So, let me see, if I want to be as successful as you, I need to continue to get the protein, and up my walking. Right now, I am only walking 2 miles three days a week. Do you ever snack? If so, on what? BTW, I teach also - special education. I take it that you have junior high kids - bless your heart! Glad to hear that the date went well. I bet that she'll call you back! Thanks for updating us.
Blessings,
Andrea
I hardly ever snack between meals. I am never hungry - which is a great problem to have. If I do eat something it is something like crackers, popcorn, pretzels, peanuts - but very little of it. I have eaten things like cookies, ice cream, etc but I feel horrible after, so I avoid them. Besides I do not crave them, so why eat 'em.
As far as teaching - I only have 7th grade students for 18 more school days, and then next year I will be strictly high school - YIPPEE
