Good morning ladies and gentlemen, How did you do towards your goals last week? Did you accomplish them? What goals will you set this week? If you have never set goals with us before, now is a good time. Pick as many things that you think you would like to commit yourself to work on this week. Then, check in here often as we help to hold each other accountable and encourage each other in our weight loss/healthier lifestyle quests. I had 4 goals last week - if I snacked, keep control and don't feel guilty about it, don't cry over my thinning hair, walk 4 times and do stomach crunches 3 times. Well, I had the flu for 2 and 1/2 days so I didn't snack too much until this weekend, I did cry several times over my hair and I only walked once. HOWEVER.............today is a new day and here are my new goals: 1) walk 2 miles at least 4 times this week 2) do crunches at least 3 times 3) don't snack unless I absolutely feel I have to, then, if I do, keep control and don't feel guilty about it. 4) buy Nioxin for my hair 5) get through my daughter's room and clean out toys for garage sale Wow - I added a couple of new goals this week. I have a good start on them already. I have already walked almost 2 and a half miles this morning and done crunches. I'm off to accomplish some goals this week!!! Now, for the CHALLENGE OR BONUS QUESTION.................... *What is one thing about this surgery for which you are most thankful?** God bless, Andrea

How sad is this, I had to go back and look to see what my goals were! Too much going on. Anyway, mine were to go cold turkey on soda. I did pretty good, only had one, and you know, it didn't really taste that good. The second one was to not drink before, during or after a meal. Did okay on that one. For this week, get to Curves 3 times and Gazelle at least twice. My big goal should be to be packed and ready to go to Cleveland by the time the plane leaves Saturday! That might be a really big challenge. I guess if it doesn't get packed, I really don't need it, right? We leave Saturday at 8:30AM and get back about 7PM on Wed. Then work 2 days, then Monday last pre-op and Tuesday surgery! The time is just flying by! I can't hardly wait to be on the losing side. All the icky stuff in between is just a bump in the road to being healthy and thin. Gotta go think about packing! Lyn

Hi Andrea: Sorry I didn't catch up with you on Sunday night. The retreat was terrific but I was wiped out and fell asleep at about 4:00pm and slept through the night. I guess I needed it. I did well on my goals for the first 4 days and then blew it the last 3. But, I'm back on my feet again and this week my goal is to get all my protein in, water down, and excersize my patootee off. Hope all is well with everyone, Eileen
