Adventureland

Ok I called...sorry about the delay, but it took a while for my friend to get back to me. I went to school with Krantz's (they own A-land) and they did not give me a better deal...too bad. Group Tickets are $20 if you buy in advance and have 15 people and if you have over 50, they are $18...so we should give Judi our $$$$if we want a good deal, otherwise we should pick a date and then if people want to get t good deal they can get Judi their $$$ by May 1st or you can just pay regular price....Adults = $27 Ages 4-10 =$23, ages 3 and under are free. I'm having my friend check with her brother on a hotel deal at Adventureland Inn. I'll let you know...And you guys can come back to my house for relaxing times that evening if you would like. OK I'm just going to throw out 4 dates and let's get a vote of your favorite two. June 26, July 17th, July 24th , August 7th I'm not trying to "boss" anyone around...I'm just excited to get together. Judi tell us how to get you our $$$$...who to make checks out to (etc.) I hope we can find a date that works for a lot of us...if that's possible.....if you want to suggest a different date, please do. We are going June 13th.....But I would be happy to go again like the July or august date......I am pretty easy to please......Our parks and rec dept here sells the tickets for 18 or 20 dollars.....I always just buy my tickets here.....you guys might want to check with your local park and rec depts.....Good Luck and excited to go JEsi

Count me in! At the townhomes where I live, we have a community center that has a full kitchen satelite tv, and a pool table. It's also only about 5 minutes away from Adventureland. We'd be welcome there anytime- just let me know, and I'll book it in advance. June or July works best for me- August, we start registering for school, and then it's a dead run till school starts. Hi it is me Lori from MI, soon to be an Iowan in June. ?? What is Adventureland and how far would that be say from Ottumwa? Hi Lori, sorry I haven't welcomed you before now, things here have been a little busy. Adventureland is an amusement park in the Des Moines area. Not as big as most, but about what you can take in in a day or so. Here's a link I found. http://www.adventureland-usa.com/ it has all sorts of info. Also, yahoo maps says it is about 80 miles from Ottumwa. Welcome to the board and to Iowa! Hope this info helps. Elizabeth

Hi All! First of all CONGRATS JASON!!!!! Way to go The July or August would work best for me. Just let me know. That would be for 2 adults, Katie is 12. I'm also 3 hours out, over by Sioux City. I can cut thru Carroll & take that route otherwise I will probably go down 59 to I-80. Someone wants a lift on that route let me know...hint hint Lynda. About Adventureland, I still need to run it by Mark, but think that we will probably go. Does June 13th not work because that is when Jesi is going and then she doesn't have to go twice. LOL Deb, will you be taking the little ones? I need to decide about taking Micah or not. Also - here's a silly question - do you think that I will fit into a roller coaster by then? June 13th is a Sunday and my band has a concert that day...so we could do it that day...but I will have to leave at some point...which is OK...I don't know if I'll bring my kids or not..if I do it would have to be in the morning...because they nap in the pm...and I sing at 9:45 service at church that day. I think a Saturday would work better for us...but the 13th might work too.
