I don't think I am stressed about anything but I wake up early (around 5AM) like this every morning thinking about the surgery. Not bad things or what if things, does this seem odd? I have my date in June so its not like it is real soon. Just can't figure out why I wake up so early. I feel rested and don't fall asleep in the afternoon so - lol -am I trying THAT hard not to be too excited? Just needed some other imput, Thanks Jean G

Jean, I think that its pretty normal to wake up thinking alot. I think some of it can be anxiety of the unknown for some, but maybe its excitment. I didn't sleep much the two weeks before my surgery. (Not just because of the apnea I had but my mind just kept racing.) This surgery causes big changes in our lives. My best to you, Eileen

Jean, You are normal, normal, normal. As Eileen said, some people just don't sleep well before the surgery. I would lay awake for so long thinking about what life would be like afterward - and usually I am able to fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow!!! You have a date and are prepared physically, but your body is now preparing mentally. You may need to incorporate a nap in the afternoon now if you keep waking up that early! Don't fret too much - God bless, Andrea
