As you may or may not know...i've been bouncing on this plateau for 6 - 8 weeks now. From 202 to 206. And no matter how much water, protein or exercise i get it just isn't changing anything... I COULD JUST SCREAM! I've cut out almost ALL carbs... doing everything right...to no avail. I know...losing 102 lbs in 9 months isn't anything to sneeze at..but it sure is frustrating to come to a TOTAL standstill...and for this long! I want so badly to weight under 200 lbs. I guess im just having a 'feeling discouraged' day. Other than that... man this weather is GREAT isn't it??? May the most you wish for be the least you get ~~~Dawn

Hang in there girl- I'm right where you are. 102 pounds in 9 months- just starting to slide down now, but was at 100-98 pounds off for 9 weeks! Be patient- it will happen! Jeri H.

Dawn, I know that this may not be the answer, but how often do you weigh yourself? Could you hide the scale for a couple of weeks and only weigh once or twice a month or so? I think that helps for me. I want to buy a scale, but experienced one plateau at 6 weeks out that lasted for two weeks. I was weighing 3-4 times during those two weeks at the center which I went through. I was soooooooo discouraged. Now, I'm sure that I have had plateaus, but I don't dwell on them because I don't weigh often. You have done a phenomenal job. If you are doing everything right, keep it up - the weight will come off. Hang in there! God bless, Andrea

Dawn - I think it's just 'where you are' in this journey. I suffer from those slow losses now too. We keep a picture journal. Each month on my anniversary date we take the same four poses and label them with the weight. You're two months behind me - but I'm at about 5 pound a month now. SO SOOOO slow! Anyway - a month ago after having been at the same old plateau for EVER - I broke down and did something I haven't done before or since then ... I ate a full sized Hershey bar ... WITH almonds (and NO, sugar unfortunately doesn't make me sick). Immediately my body dropped 3 pounds ... I'm not sure if it was just time for that weight to finally GO. Or if there is something to that thing where they say your body thinks it is starving and holds tight to the weight. But that honestly happened. Now ... I don't think HERSHEY's is a magic potion - and I won't be doing that again any time soon. *tee hee* Good luck!
