Mercy Capitol Program??

I only saw two reviews of Mercy Capitol and the Mercy Center for Weight Reduction. Can anyone tell me about their experience there and maybe some information about the surgeons? I'm thinking about going with Dr. Cahalen. Thanks so much! Kelly B.

I know Dr. Cahalan...I taught his kids...he is a wonderful person..he has a great heart! He is a great general surgeon and has operated on people I know...as a bariatric surgeon...I do not know...I know he went and studied on the east coast for a while to learn about bariatric surgery. Deb Paul

I went through that program and it is an excellent program!!!!! No, I do not get paid to say that. I know Dr. Calalen. He is very nice. Dr. Smolik did my surgery and he is very nice and thurough as well. The staff is unbelievable and are very supportive and love what they are doing helping people like us. In fact I am good friends with a couple of the staff just from this surgery. All of the doctors there have had extensive training with Carnie Wilson's doctor the founder of Lap RNY, I can't think of his name right off of the top of my head. In fact they had been out there several times for training. They all have been to the east coast and chicago for conintuing education and just to learn the new things that are always coming out.
