Hello and Happy good Friday to you all!!! Did you set personal goals this week? How did you do towards them? Did you accomplish any of your goals? For those of you that "lurk" and don't post often, (like Lisa, Ann, Stephanie, etc., etc., etc., ) please let us hear from you! How is your weight loss going? How is the eating? What are you doing for exercise? Same questions for those of you that do post. Let us know how you are doing. Also, what is the Easter Bunny bringing you on Easter? I have done horribly on my goals this week. I think that the PMS bug ha**** and I have hit the f/f pretzals or s/f ice cream. The ice cream made me dump, I think. I was very ill!!! I also am on some meds that you have to take with food, so have used that as an excuse to have a snack every night. Exercise has been only once this week. Need to get out and move this weekend. I have been drinking my fluids well, though. The "Easter bunny" bought me some s/f jelly beans, s/f russel stover pecan delights and s/f hard candies. Now, if only I can control this snacking monster of mine!!! I vow to make the s/f candies last longer than one week and if I find I do not have control with them, I vow to get rid of them, (in the garbage, not my stomach)!!! There, I am totally bummed now that I did so horribly. Hopefully you all have had a better week! God bless, Andrea

i did awesome on my goal this week. i even started walking more outside this week with my kids. my goal should be not to let things get to me like they do. Andrea they do have sugar free and fat free ice cream sad thing it is very expensive. so you should try it cuz it is really good and they do have a good collection of flavors for you.... good luck and happy easter.....lynda

OK you caught me, I am a lurker, now that I am out of the closet I had hernia surgery on Monday and so my goals this week were just to get through all of the stuff that goes along with that. I have had more pain with this surgery then with my RNY surgery. I know that I need to watch my sweet intake and my refined sugar intake (cookies) I have pretty much staled on my weight loss right now and so I attribute that to my sweets and all of the things that I should not be eating. I was hoping that this week I would be able to get back on track with my eating. Not so at this point. Before my surgery I was exercising at least 4 days a week and once the weather got nice I started to walk an extra 1.5 miles during my break at work. So I was doing good with the exercising. It is the eating of the sweets and snacking that has caused me to slow way down and even gain a few pounds. I have been doing lots of toning exercises and I know that I have gained lots of mucsle, however I am not so sure it is a reason for my weight gain. I need to get over the snacking and the sweets. I have tried different things to get back on track and none of them seem to work so I am going back to the drawing board. Stephanie Open RNY 6/18/03 290/277/155 (140 Mine) BMI 29

Exercise is progressing nicely; I walked and did Nautlius. My soda craving is still with me but I am doing fairly well with the one a day rule. The bedroom organization progress is slow and painful. I have managed to get rid of 13 pairs of shoes that on longer fit. Also 2 bags of clothes, and just general junk. I am feeling a little frazzled and a more emotional. I am worried about anything and everything. Wish I had a crystal ball. Take Care All, Paula

Well I was at a stand still last week with my weight figured my body was just catching up with the weight loss but this week I am 5 weeks post op and down 5 pounds so I am at a 44 pound loss! I have walked 5 miles this week I took last night off from a walk was tired with the kids home and I work third shift so lots of fun. I am having a hard time staying awake at night with out my caffeine so I got an idea to try gatorade at night instead of crystal light and it is helping. Did not realize how much i had depended upon caffeine prior to my surgery but it feels good not to be a diet pepsi addict any more. Have a good Easter everyone!

All in all, not a bad week. 1. Doctor's appt on Wednesday was fine- whew! Done 9 pounds from last visit, so thats 102 total. Doc said that the slow up from the gym was normal, and that I shouldn't expect to keep losing like before, but I could still expect to lose 8-10 pounds a month or so. Maybe think about some reconstructive surgery the end of summer!? 2. Took a 4 hour "nap" Wednesday, so am caught up on sleep, and not growling at everyone who happens my way. 3. Have divided my weight routines into 4 days, and alternate them to get a REALLY good work out! Hard to ride that old bike for more than 20 minutes, but I'm working up tp more. Hope everyone has a great Easter, and that the Easter bunny loves you enough to leave those chocolate bunnies to someone else! Jeri H.
