100 Days Today

I cannot believe that exactly 100 days ago I was in surgery, at this very time of day! What a ride the past 3 months have been. I can finally say that I am glad that I had the surgery and would recommend it to people prepared for huge life change- both mentally and physically I haven't posted much lately- life is very busy and much more fun 87 pounds lighter! In the last few weeks, people who didn't know I had surgery have been coming up and telling me I look like a different person- let me tell you- that is pretty darn gratifying! What has changed from 100 days ago? Well, here's a list of a few: I am in a size 18-20 not a 28 I am closer to my weight beginning with a 1 than with a 3 My face is no longer puffy I can cross my legs My son can put his arms all the way around me I am NOT the fattest person in most places I go I am using my long dormant flirting skills again (kinda like riding a bike!) I don't really enjoy food at all- eating is a chore I can't drink diet coke (see- not everything is perfect) My boobs are deflated (thank goodness for plastic surgery) Exercising is sooooo much easier and much more fun and rewarding My BMW (ok- not directly weight related, but I would not have gotten a cute little sports car at 300plus pounds, and damn I look cute in it!!!) I hope that this day finds all of you healthy and happy. All you pre-ops, keep the faith, your day will come soon. For you recent post-ops, hang on- it will get better! Later! Michelle

What a breathe of fresh air you are Michelle. I tip my diet pepsi to ya. Your post makes me think of the good things that have happened so far versus the things I can't have. I sometimes need my head examined and you helped me see the good in what I have done. Thank you and God bless you forever on your journey!

Wow, Michelle! What a tremendous loss! Good job! What a "hooter" - oops, I mean hoot on the deflated boobs. Isn't that how it goes, though! I, myself have found so much good in this. It won't be long until we are posting that we have hit the century mark! Congrats! God bless, Andrea

Michelle, Congrats on the weight loss and on the BMW. Love those Beemers. A few years ago I sold my red Corvette and one on the reasons was that it was so hard getting in and out. I've lost 53 pounds since January so maybe after another 53 pounds I'll consider another sports car. I enjoyed your post. Good luck. Bob
