quick question!!
for me at Grinnell it was blood testing, cross type and mat*****ase need to give you a transfusion. they do a chest x-ray, for me they did an ekg to check my heart function. I also met with a anthesiologist, the dietian --some dr. may have other tests they run, but mine required thes within one month of surgery--all pretty painless unless you get some one who can't hit a vein--especially ours --they are pretty well hid by fat.
Tina, I think it depends on where you have surgery at. For me at the BTC, I provided a urine sample, they drew blood, did a chest X-ray, EKG, and had an ultrasound of my gallbladder. I then had a physical, met with a nutritionist to discuss my first 2 weeks post-op meal plan, and met with a respiratory therpist who tested my lung capacity and gave me a spinctometer (SP?) that I had to start practicing with to build up my lung power. This was to aid is avoiding pneumonia. My PATs took a little over 2 hours. But like I said every place probably does it differently.
I wish your daughter well!
