Hi Eileen, We are moving to SE Iowa. Very close to Fairfield. About 25miles from Ottumwa. Can't wait. We crave quiet country life. I know where Davenport is, just not sure how many miles away that is. I guess I wll just use the board too. Take care Lori

Lori, welcome to Iowa, I live in Ottumwa, I think you will enjoy "country living". you aren't far from Fairfield, which is kind of a different town, due to the meditators--they have some interesting cuisine and shopping opportunities. plus you will be only about 1 hour from Iowa City--another mecca of opportunity. that is one of our major university towns, so there are cultural events and football, basketball etc.

Hi Beverly I mainly post on the msg board but I tend to chat at night when I can kick my son off the computer. I have recently strarted chatting again...got turned off for awhile but there are so many wonderful people with interesting stories.
