Moving to Iowa

Hello, I will be moving to Iowa in the very near future. I was wondering if there were any of you from the Fairfield area. VanBuren or Davis County. I am a post op of 7 months and just looking for some new friends. Take care all of you, Lori Knox

Hey Lori and welcome! I am from Des Moines and am 6 months post-op. My husband and I both had RNY last summer. We have 2 year old twins and we're doing very well. I know there are people from eastern Ia, but I don't know about SE IA. Good Luck on your move! Deb Paul

Hi Deb and Jason, Nice to meet you. I hope to do some shopping in DesMoines sometime this summer. There has to be a mall there somewhere. I believe it is about 2 hours from where we are. Maybe we can meet up somewhere. Your picture is amazing. Congrats to you both. I need to post a new picture soon. I am down 90lbs with about 10-15lbs to go, will see. Thanks for the reply, Lori

Hi Lori, I live in Davis County & work at the hospital 7p-7a shift. I'm in the book so look me up. I had wls in Dec & I'm down 59lbs. I'm only online about once a week my computer crashed. Talk to ypo sometime, Denise Beall

Hi Lori! I live in Des Moines, but I grew up in Fairfield, and my parents still live there. I can tell you that a LOT of people in Fairfield have had WLS surgery - most of them went to the surgeons in Grinnell, a few have gone to Iowa City. I could probably give you some names/numbers of people - I don't think many of them are on these boards. When are you moving? What brings you to southeast Iowa?
