Is there a DS Support Group?

I want to have a DS and I was wondering if there was a DS support group around? Thanks in advance.

It's a Duodenal Switch. Instead of having a pouch like in a RNY, the stomach is made smaller surgically and the food is diverted and only absorbed in the last 75-100 cm of the intenstines. It's restrictive and malabsorptive.

I am planning on having the DS as well, and I haven't run across any support groups around eastern Iowa for DS patients. I think that is probably because there are no surgeons in Iowa that do that particular procedure and those of us who have it are widespread across the state. I know I have to travel to Omaha for my surgery, but it's going to be worth every mile. I will keep my eyes and ears open and let you know if I run across one. Linn Appeal #1
