Rita, There is a support group in the Davenport area. It is on the Mississippi river in the middle of the eastern part of Iowa. Probably too far away, but please let me know if you would like some more info. God bless, Andrea

Hi Rita, My name is Diana and I live in Ottumwa,Iowa and we have a support group that meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center from 6PM to 8PM. You are welcome to come anytime. I am 6 months post-op and have lost 115 lbs. and I have a son who is 6 weeks post-op and has lost 77 lbs. We have around 12 to 15 people come to our meeting. Welcome to the losing side. Diana

Thank you Diana for responding to my request. I just might try to make it up there one of these days. I am actually not on the losing side as of it, still waiting for insurance approval. They told me I should hear something within the next week. I sure hope so, it is so frustrating. Where is the Ottumwa Regional Health Center, by the Hospital?
