HEY ALL!!! Still alive and kick'n
Well 4 wks. from today was the day. So far I am down 28.5 lbs. I find it hard to gauge when I can drink water after my meals. I wait the 30 minutes but most of the time it takes longer and by that time I could drink a lake. Anyone having feelings of dehydration? I want to so badly gulp down my water but I know not to do that. What other drinks are you all finding taste good? I have been walking 3x a week and slowly lifting weights. Nothing major, don't want to screw anything up. I feel absolutely great, I can tell I am thinner when I take my shower, just lathering up and rinsing off everything is smaller! YAH HOO!!! Of course the husband doesn't want the twins to get smaller but hey, that just comes with the territory now! Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Sharon,
Glad to hear everything is going so well for you. I hear what you say about the water. I still can not get enough water in and having problems with constipation YUCK. Seems one day I can eat then the next drink. I am 6 weeks today and go see my surgeon so he can basically sign off on me. I do find if I have a protein shake for my breakfast then I can drink the rest of the day until I try to eat. I usually have to wait for an hour or so before I drink anything. I have done crystal light and found a tea that they came out with as well as the variety of flavors that you can buy in premix bottles or even in powdered individual cups. Good luck and keep up the good work.
I really don't like anything at all sweet so for a change from just plain water I add a bit of lemon juice to my water. It seems to go down better than plain water.
As far as the "twins", well, mine sure have deflated. My husband says they are now the size of a 15 year old. I called him a pervert! At least he can fantasize.

Hi Sharon,
Wow, what a great loss! Glad that everything is going well. I, too was dehydrated when I first had surgery, (and sometimes still feel that way.) Found it very hard to get in many fluids at all. I still write down what I drink daily and add up the amounts to be sure that I am getting in 64 oz plus more. (Continue to have problems with constipation anyway.) I drink water, Elite chocolate protein powder, flavored water from Walgreens (no calories, no sugars,) crystal light and even sugar free Tang. This time, I am using the plain chocolate Elite powder, so I add a couple of drops of cherry extract for a "chocolate covered cherry" or orange extract for a "chocolate orange". YUM! Also love the chocolate mint Elite. Tastes just like a Girl Scout thin mint cookie.
...and about the twins - not only have the "girls" shrunk, but they are going south faster than ever!! Oh well, gotta start saving up pennies for that lift!
Good luck on everything. Keep up the good work.
God bless,
Andrea
