HI! I have been home for a couple of days now and am feeling well. Still having a bit of pain but the liquid pain medicine does help. I will be going back for my one-week check-up tomorrow. I sure hope they pull my JP tube. I have had enough of that experience. Today I was able to walk a mile - 1/2 mile twice today. That sure feels good. I'm looking forward to soft, pureed foods on the 15th. Our doctor has you do the liquid diet 2 weeks before surgery and 2 weeks after. Foods smells so good right now but I know that my system can't handle. But I am getting in 60+ ounces of fluids a day and I know that will help. Thanks to all who sent me words of encouragement on my surgery page. I really appreciated them. I hope to check in soon again. Gail -22 lbs.

Welcome to this side of the fence, Gail!! Liquid diets can be hard, especially when there are smells of cooking in your house. Soon, you will be able to chew something. Hang in there. Great job on your 60+ oz of fluids!! God bless, Andrea
