Hi, I just wanted everyone to know that in Feb. I celebrated my "re-birth" day on the 21st..........1 year post op from my revision and minus 147 lbs! And on the 27th I celebrated my 50th birthday! Life is good.......I am healthier and happier than I have been in the last 30+ years (smaller too!! HA! HA!) I now weigh 190 lbs from a high of 337 lbs. I was really worried in the beginning that I would be the one that the surgery would fail or that I would fail the surgery. Also I was worried that I would never see any type of goal weight (175-185 per Dr. Stoner) much less ever get under 200 lbs! Well for all those pre-ops that are older, need a revision, and are having doubts I am living proof that this surgery can and will work!! Thanks for letting me toot my horn!!!

Congrats Marylin, and yes toot that horn all you want! in May will be both my birthdays, turning 26 on the 12th, and on the 15th is when I had my surgery. I had told everyone when I had the surgery it was a birthday present to myself, and it has turned out to be that way! you look great, and are an inspiration to us all! Judi

HAPPY BIRTHDAY "TWO" YOU, congrats. One year, wow, I bet it flew by. Can you give me some insight as to what types of foods you are eating and beverages you drink? Have you tried drinking any alcohol? Just curious. Thanks.

I don't do too many carbs of any kind. Tried some pasta and it does not sit well with me. I do lots of shrimp, fish, chicken, steak and veggies. I have tried some fruits but in very small quantities.......grapes, bananas and apples. I do not do sugar in any form or fashion. Yes, I have tried alcohol.......after doing research on sugar and carbs.......I have found that I do well with Tanqueray Gin, Tonic and a twist of lime or lemon. Be forwarned!!!!!! It hits quick and takes a very limited amount to get into your bloodstream. As far as beverages I drink lots of Propel, crystal ligh****er, coffee, tea and every once in a while a diet pop (diet vanilla pepsi) as a treat. Hope I answered your questions......
