4 month anniversary today!
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all getting along well these days. I read the boards as often as I can. College this semester is hectic. Thank GOD it is my last semester!!
Well, today is my official 4month anniversary. I am down 66 pounds and feel WONDERFUL (most of the time). I can do so much more now then what I could do this time 4 months ago. Some of my accomplished goals are:
*Get out of bed each day PAIN FREE
*Feel as if I have a place in this world
*Increased confidence (WOW, what a switch)
*Cross my legs
*Get out of 30 jeans, out of 20 jeans and now in 18's!!
*Exercise EVERY DAY and don't feel as if I'm going to die
*Keep up with my kids (almost out-do them now )
*Paint my toe nails (Hubby is SO glad to be relieved of that duty)
*Wipe my butt (LOLOLOL!!)
*Sit in my bathtub and water SURROUNDS me!
*Get dressed, fix my hair, do my makeup and REALLY feel like a woman
*Be a role model for my friends (that feels so wonderful)
*SMILE
*Look at the faces passing me by in the hallways at college rather than
looking at the floor all the time
*Drive ANY car without my belly painfully rubbing the steering wheel
*Focus on my problems and how to fix them rather than turning to food
I know there is more things I could add to my list, but those are the things that stick out in my head the most. What a wonderful life I have now. I had my checkup with my surgeon yesturday and they were so proud (as I'm sure they are with all of their patients) but that really made me feel good. And to top yesturday off in the right direction, I went to my brother's shop (he's a mechanic) to tell him about my great doctors visit and shortly after I left 2 of his friends he works with came up to him and said, and I quote, "Oh My GOD Doug, Your sister is REALLY HOT!" LOLOLOL, too bad guys, I'm married to the man who LOVED me when I was fat and sad! Boy, that made me feel good though.
For those of you fighting for this, don't stop fighting. If you KNOW this is the right thing for you, it will be so worth the battle and hard times you go through. Take care!

Tammy,
It's just amazing what this surgery and program can do for us if we're willing to take it and use it as we're told. I'm so happy that you came back to the boards! I'm really proud of your success - and can tell you are too. Carry on my dear, and best wishes to your continued success!!!!

Tammy, you are doing great! three days (10th) will be my 5 month anniv. and I am just about at the same place you are. I hope I am one that is not affected by that 6 month window thing. If I lose any slower, I will scream! LOL I need to take new measurements, I have to be getting rid of it somewhere cause I got into an XL today instead of the 3 and 4 X's I was wearing. Keep up the great work!
Elizabeth
PS, love the new pics! I will get one when I get my hair cut. Gonna do the "locks of love" thing I think, since it is now tucking itself into the upper part of the crack of my butt!
