I'm in the Cebtury Club

My pic has been updated on my profile...I've lost 107lbs now and I'm feeling like a million bucks!!! Our wedding bands are too big...so I haven't been wearing mine...I was out with some friends and a guy hit on me...a hot guy. I was floored...I just smiled and said..."I'm married"....it was AWESOME. Having been overweight my whole life, it felt great to be the one that was being hit on. Even with my husband - I made the first move...this really was a first for me! I'm still going to therapy and it's been helping me so much. It helps to talk about how I still want to binge, how people's comments effect me and the fears I have about failing. I've been working with a personal trainer and working out at the Y...I have never stayed with an exercise program this long. Yesterday I went on an hour bike ride and I enjoyed every minute of it...even the hills. Today we went to the park and I went down the slide with my 22 month old twins for the first time (I could never fit before). I started to cry, because this is what being a mommy is suppose to be like...for the first time in my life I'm starting to feel normal. Thanks to everyone on this site...I'm still reading even though I don't post as often as I should...I'm so busy... LIVING MY LIFE...instead of dreaming about what it would be like if only....(fill in the blank). Thank you God for giving me a second chance at life!!! Deb Paul Open RNY Before:348 Now: 242

wow that is so awsome your picture looks really good its amazed how we change I like the new me alot I feel so much better and have better self esteme. keep up the good work

Deb I totally hear you, about everything you are talking about. First of all though, you look FABULOUS!!!!!!!! honestly! I want to take a new pic of myself too, but right now I just dont photograph well I dont think. And Congratulations on your fabulous weight loss. we are about at the same area. I started at 360, and am down to 220 now. I can see that 200 mark in sight! I too am super busy with college and working and supporting a little boy, I am so glad now that i can LIVE my life like you said,... just doing it! instead of thinking about it! Hi Deb your an inspiration to us pre-ops! Congrats on the weightloss and your "New Life" Since those wedding bands don't fit anymore maybe you and your hubby should reinstate your vows and wear a beautiful "tight"...lol gown! You would look awesome! Good luck and keep us posted! - Carol Nihsen

Now when are we gonna see an updated pick of Paul.....lol......I can't wait to be less intimidated about playing with my twins at the park.......I haven't lost as much as you......I still feel like a big fat girl who should just be sitting and watching........I know this summer will be a blast for us though......I just have to start feeling less intimidated........I don'[t go to therapy....does it help you with that part of it????? CONGRATULATIONS DEB!!!! You look great. I'm glad to hear that everything is coming together for you now. I am 5 wks right now and have lost only about 35 but I don't weigh myself all the time, but everyone says they can see a difference. I'm so happy for you especially about being able to do more with your twins. I too look forward to doing more with my boys. I can't wait to go for a bike ride with them. Hi Deb- I have enjoyed reading your posts since August when I came on board. You really have inspired me- I also had Dr. Schwartz do my surgery - I was just a couple months behind you. Deb, Oh my goodness, you look FABULOUS!!!! Over 100 pounds - I can't imagine. You have done some good work, keep it up! What is your goal? Do you exercise daily? How awesome to be able to go down the slide with your twins! If I remember correctly, they are just a little older than my little man who was born on 7/7/02. I can't wait till this summer when I am down more weight and can play more with my kids. My time is coming - look out roller coasters and slides cuz here I come!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
