It's been pretty quite here the last few weeks! I know there are "lurkers" out there- come on in from hiding, and let us know who you are! You can ask ANY question here- beleive me, we've heard it all! And some of you old timers- how are things going for you? At almost 9 months out, I seem to be stuck. I have wavered up and down about 10 pounds for the last 6 weeks. I've joined a gym, have a trainer, I'm taking some high powered vitamins, and FEEL great. I think someone put super glue on the scales! I know this is temporary, but it's darn frustrating none the less. How do YOU get past plateaus? Let's do a roll call of ideas on how to get past this problem! Jeri H.

Hi, Jeri!! I have only had one plateau so far, (that I know of) and that was at only 6 weeks out. I was the same weight for 2 weeks and all I did was get angry. Also tried to step up the excersicing. Eventually, I slid off the side of that plateau and began to lose again. I am really afraid of what will happen when I am further out and if I will stop losing. I look forward to the responses that you get. God bless, Andrea 326/274/under 200

Hi Jeri, remember you are building muscle right now. So keep an eye on your inches. Don't get discouraged, we didn't go threw all the pain with this surgery to stop half way to our goal. I have met my 100 pound mark and now I am trying to tone and maintain my goal. Also once this weather stays nice we will all have so much more enery we are all going to be one hot mama!!!! Good Luck!!!! RoseAnn Knight

I really have not had any official plataus...I think I read that it is defined by being at the same weight for 6 weeks. My husband is in one right now..he's pretty frustrated. my advice to him is to stay off the scales and try something different for a week...it may even be to relax on the exercise this week...maybe workout only 2x, maybe try to monitor what your eating more...write it down (don't eat less, just keep a journal). Or adding another protein bar or shake to your daily routine. Ive even read of people going back to the pureed or liquid diet for a few days. These are things I've read about on this site and jotted down for when my plataus come in....because I believe they're inevidable. Deb P
