Here comes the FLU....

Can anyone give me pointers on any relief they got for fever and aches and pains. I take Aleve now but it is not cutting the aches and pains. Thanks for the help!!!!! By the way It will be 6 months on the 29th and I am down 90#s. Yea for all us losers and loser to be. LOL

DeAnne, My doc says not to take Aleve, Motrin, or Aspirin as they will iritate the stomach. I believe Aleve and Motrin are both Ibuprofen's aren't they? Anyway, I think if you look at things like the Theraflu or a liquid Tylenol or acetaminophen where it's already disolved and it's more liquid(y), it's a little easier on the stomach lining. You might also check with your local pharmacist. They might not know about Bariatric patients but could make suggestions of meds that would be appropriate for someone who's been treated for ulcers or stomach lining irritations????
