Finally I'm approved!!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm finally approved for an open rny!! I will be having my surgery in Grinnell. Dr Monte Schwartz will be my surgeon!!! I can't believe it's really going to happen!! Thanks for all the support you've all given, and all that you"ll give me as I embark on my new life.!! It's interesting to note that as of a week before my consult in Grinnell (Feb 17) the insurance company still had't approved me, as they said I had to do the 6 month diet. Then this week I get a letter saying I'm approved? After my 2nd denial I wrote a letter to the Iowa State Insurance Commissioner, in January, and now I'm approved!! I wonder if they helped it along?? Everyone still in the approval proccess, hang in there, there's hope for you too!!! When I get a date I'll let you all know!! Thanks again and God bless!! DeeAnn R

Congrats DeeAnn, I am so happy for you!!!! Keep us updated as to what day you end up having surgery. I will be down for a check up soon, so maybe I will stop by and see if ya if it works out! Deeann, I'm so happy for you! And good job for hanging tough and taking the initiative to stick up for yourself.
