Adventurland

I've lived in Council Bluffs (ya know that suburb of Omaha??) since 1980 went through Des Moines at least 6 times a month and I've never been to Adventureland!! Now that I've lost weight and can fit on the rides I will go there!! Plus getting to meet other WLS people would be great!

Count me in and BF too if nothing else comes up before then. Might even be able to bring the 2 nephews if everyone else is bringing their kids. Elizabeth

Denise, Count my in, too. One of the deciding factors or final straws for me before committing to surgery was when we took a family trip to Great America last summer. All that fat 'ol mom could ride was the log ride and the train. My then 6 year old daughter rode a roller coaster for the first time (and in the front seat) with her daddy. Needless to say, it was quite depressing! I look forward to riding the rides with her and meeting all our buddies. Let us know what you can do. God bless, Andrea

Denise - another idea for Adventureland - see if we could get a discount at the campsite and hotels in the area - I would have to travel about 2 1/2 hours - and I'm sure all the FUN we would have would be too intoxicating....lol so I wouldn't be able to drive home....lol - Carol

Well ladies here's the deal, My mom's cousin is now letting his son run the business & he does'nt give a rats hoot about family ties, so what his aunt had wls & is doing well & so what that his uncle had wls 20+ years ago & did'nt make it off the table. This is the deal though; Group rates are $20.00 for groups 15-49 And $18.00 for 50+ people as long as we make reservations 4 days in advance. Or we can go on the substance free weekend Apr 24, 25 or May 1,2 for $14.00 each as long as we buy our tickets by Apr 9th. I thought that we could wait closer to the end of the summer to give some of the newbies a chance to lose enough weight to fit into the rides. Let me know what you think? Talk later, Denise
