Checkin' in with my Iowa buddies!
Hi everyone,
How are you all doing?? Lets see how many posts we can get here and let us all know how you are doing now
As for me, I'm doing great. Feeling WONDERFULLY!! Every now and then I get a little down on myself. For some reason my brain seems to think I should be at goal RIGHT NOW~ WELL DUH!!! I have to work at it too! It's not just going to "go away". LOL. But for the most part I'm awesome! I have lost 61 pounds and nearly 30 inches. I have gone from a size 30-32 jeans to an 18-20 (all depends on the brand) and a 3X or 4X top to an XL I don't exercise as much as I should. Sure, when the treadmill was new I did GREAT, then I got my monthly visitor (which makes me very sick) and slacked. Now I'm trying to get in the groove again. UGH! In another 20 pounds I'll have that magicall UNDER 200#s moment!! I can't wait!
So, I'm anxious to hear how all of you are doing. It's been too long since some of us have chatted!
Take care

Tammy,
Congrats on the great loss. I have to say I always enjoy reading you posts on here! Can you watch TV while on the treadmill? I turn on the closed captioning since otherwise I can't hear it. Otherwise I put my old rock -- Boston and Motley Crue -- on the Walkman and go to it. One of these days it will be nice enough to get outside!! Keep up the great work!

wow that is great Tammy i'm doing better I made it under 200 i'm at 195 which I cant believe i'm in 18 button jeans and a 1x top. i've lost 146 pounds so far I was working out in the gym I need to get back in there I've had alot of stress with moving and some bad news with my daughter. its been a mess. but things are getting better.keep up the good work take care
Oh, I know how you feel about the exercise. I have to force myself. I have a Gazelle in my basement right in front of my TV. I turn it on & try to stay on the machine for 40 minutes or 2 miles, whichever comes first. Today I went 1 mile, stopped & did 20 crunches, went another mile & did 20 more crunches. I was pretty proud of myself.
I wish I was getting close to 200# but that will be a long time, perhaps next summer sometime is I am lucky.
Glad to hear you're doing well.

Tammy,
Hi! I am here and there is 52 pounds less of me than before. I still struggle with snacking. Just ate some peanut butter and banana for a snack and am feeling ill. Then I don't get in my fluids.
Trying to step up the walking. Read in the OH mag that Nasa research said that 2 miles of walking was best to burn fat. Well, plan is to up my walking from 1 mile to 1 and 1/2 next week and 2 miles the following week. Other than that, things are going well. Just wore for the first time today size 26/28 pants and 22/24 shirt - both down from a 32/34!! Yeahhhhh!
I don't know what I would ever do without the support of the people on these boards and the information on this site!! Thanks for being here, ya'all.
God bless,
Andrea
Hi all,
I'm down 52lbs in 10 weeks also, I have'nt got motivated enough yet to exercise. I'm a nurse so I hardly ever get the chance to sit down at work and I bowl. I don't have enough money to join a gym & no room to work out at home. I live in the country & the gravel/dirt roads are pure mud. I know, I know stop your whining. I do walk 3 times a week at work apx 1 mile on my break. I do eat right & I get most of my fluids in most of the time. I think my stricture has released itself, I have'nt had any problems for over a week. I'm down to a 20 jean from a 26 & to a xl top from a 3x. My husband has taken my pictures 3 times & whenever we get our scanner reinstalled I'll try to learn how to post a picture. I feel so sexy now untill I look at myself naked in the mirror, my apron is really saggy now. I use to be so muscular & tight now my boby is so soft & mushy. i now have grandma arms. Oh well I'm addicted to Discovery Health Plastic surgery, Before & After & I Lost It. Where's there's a want there is always a Dr. to do more surgery. Take care ya'll, Denise

Hi all,
I am 5 months post-op and I am down 110 lbs. and feeling great. I work out on the treadmill and bicycle about 45 to 50 minutes everyday. I am glad I had it done and would do it again if I had to. Glad to be on the losing side with all of you. I go back to the doctor March 11th for my 6th month check-up and will keep you posted. Talk to you all later. Diana
Tammy,
It's really nice to see you on the boards! Congrats on the loss, really glad to hear you're doing well. I'm able to get in a little exercise everyday cause I'm downtown Des Moines - I can walk in the skywalk without having to worry about a coat or anything. But I have to agree, it's a really hard habit to start, isn't it?!?!? Anyway, take care - talk to you again soon I hope! - Deb W.
