Hi Everyone! I am new to this board, and am so glad that I found it! My doctor's P.A. told me that I am a good candidate for lapband surgery, and I am looking for a doctor in the Mason City area. Any suggestions?

I am sorry......I don't have any suggestions.....but there is a gal on this site from Osage that has already had surgery.....I don't think it was lapband.....Her name is Judi D.......you might want to ask her where she had the surgery! I am from Charles City, now living in Dubuque......So I have been to Osage many times......It is nice to see you on the boards they are a great place for resources and support....Best of Luck.. Jesi

Shirley, Just wanted to say welcome and please post anytime you have any questions. Unfortunately, I had RNY so I'm not able to help on the Lap Band deal. Have you checked the list on this site? I'm wondering if Iowa City doesn't do Lap Band? Anyway - take care!! -Deb W.

hey its me From Osage As far as anything in this area, nope, sorry. Nothing even close to mason city/osage. I dont know much about lap band though either. The closest might be Rochester maybe? You can contact Jeff Brandau at the Mercy clinics in Mason CIty, and he can help set you up with someone who does that, he is the only one involved in mason city as far as gastric bypass. We are having a support group meeting Monday in Mason City, if you have questions, or want to come, email me at [email protected] will be glad to help as much as I can. but thats all I have for now!
