Hi everyone. I am doing AWESOME!!! I had surgery last Monday and came home that following Thursday afternoon. So far I have lost 20#'s. My face feels & looks thinner. I am now to eating pureed foods. I got really sick of drinking everything. I did break down and try and blend some lasagna I made the other night, it didn't come back up but my stomach did have a time trying to digest it. I am really attacking the water and I feel that is what is helping me with the weight loss. I now need to start slowly walking on the treadmill and get some exercise in. Just getting up and doing the laundry and picking up this house isn't gonna do it much longer. I did have feelings the last 4 days of "why did I do this" " I would give my left leg to eat a pizzaburger and fries", or "why couldn't I just lose this weight without going through this surgery?" I know the true answers will be along in the future. I am only 1+ weeks out and I hope everyone has ran into these feelings. I am trying to find a website that someone has thrown together about foods for gastric bypass patients. I was told it was angelfire.com but can't find it. Oh well. Well my kids are already bored. I had to use the public libraries computer/internet. Thanks for all your prayers!

Sharon, that is wonderful. the hunger for food is all in your mind or in your mouth. Pizza is what is doing it for me, but at some point I will be able to eat the cheese and toppings, but this is almost magical in that you aren't hungry, keep up the good work and chug, chug, and walk walk

Sharon, So happy to know that you're home and doing well. The first hurdle is over and now it's on to better days. I know for me the first 6 weeks were definitely the hardest and now at 4+ months everything seems pretty normal. Just make sure to follow the docs instructions!! Best wishes for a super speedy recovery - take care! -Deb W.

Sharon!!!!!!!!!! Hi - Well glad to hear you are home and doing fine - I had been thinking of you! I must admit the head hunger has just been killing me too - I didnt think it would be this bad - I would love to bite into something - But I just keep reminding myself that this is going to take time to get to feeling normal again!!!! I am at work again so hoping that will help keep me busy and out of the kitchen!!! Hugs! Sunny
