Hello Iowa Folks!!!Roll CAll
Hi All,
Well I am doing great, I am maintaining my weight still (it's harder in the winter when you aren't as active). I don't weigh that often I go more by how my clothes fit.
I started out as size 24 (sometimes higher) now I wear a 6. This surgery has given me a second chance at life. I never would have guessed there was a small person inside the massive shell that used to me be.
My plastic surgery paperwork got lost (WHATEVER!!!) So I had to resubmit. But other than that things are just DUCKY!
Good Wishes and God Bless Everyone

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I must agree that it has been really, really quite around here!!! Whats up with that??? Anyway - 8 days post op today!! Feeling fine but getting really sick of just drinking!!!!!!!!! I really hate all the food commericals on TV and in Mags! That makes it even harder!! Oh and the smell of foods when the rest of the family gets to eat!! I hope this gets better once I can have something solid!! I did eat 1 saltine cracker yesterday! Well dont really know what Ive lost - going to wait and see when I go in for my check up on the 24th!! Sunny.
Hey all.... I have been super crazy busy here with going to college 3 days a week, working all night at the nursing home 5 nights a week, and trying to study, raise a child, keep upa home, etc, its insane!
I have had a touch of the flu/head cold the last few days which has been miserable.
Just the other day I was at 9 months post op, and now down 140 lbs!!! how insane is that? I was at 360 when I started, now the scale seems to be reading 220. what? LOL> its awesome.
I bought a new winter coat the other day, a 14/16. Last year at this time I was special ordering clothes at 32. WOW! :D
anyhow, good to see everybody checking in

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting a lot. I am posting some new pics this week because...I can't believe i'm actually typing this...I've hit the century mark! I have lost 103lbs and I'm so happy that I am crying as I type this. Things are going great, have only thrown up 2x and dumping is not a problem (because I only will allow myself 1 small bite of something sweet). Someone called me "skinny" at school last week and I laughed and said no one has ever used that word when describing me. I am now lighter than my husband...for the 1st time ever!!! He has lost 92 lbs and looks great. We're definatly "getting closer" from this surgery now that 200lbs is missing from us when we embrace. Magic is back in my life and I'm loving it!

Hi All-
I have been terrible at posting, but I have been reading the posts at least once a week. I am glad to know that you are all doing well. I am about 12 weeks out and have lost 67 lbs. I am about half way to my goal. I'm very happy and don't get sick. I can eat about anything- ham and beef jerky bother me- make me really stuffed- but nothing has made me throw up. I am happy to say I have been completely sugar free for 3 months and want to keep it that way. I am so afraid I will dump on sugar that it keeps me away from it. I tried the sugar free candies a while back, but they make me so gassy it wasn't worth it! Now I really don't miss sweets. I don't take a protein supplement anymore- I eat meat daily and hope that's OK. Do most of you 3+ months out still do supplements? I just take 1 multi-vitamin a day. I am curious to know if most of you still take protein bars/drinks. Thanks!
Take care-
Lori
