Hello everybody, Just got back from seeing Dr. Eibes. Wish we had packed a bag. I am going back to the hospital in the morning, in Grinnell, as an outpatient. Dr. Eibes is doing an Endoscope with a balloon. He says I might have a blockage in the neck of the stomach, or whatever you call it. I'm not sure if I should be scared or not, even though he says he has done a quite a few of these. I hope to home tomorrow night, and if I feel up to it, I will give you all an update. I also want to thank everybody for praying for me and for whoever set this website up, it is a great thing to have. Take Care Everybody Love Lisa Young

Lisa, I am so hoping when all is said and done and you've lost the weight, checked off everything on the mental 'to do' list that all of us keeps, that these last couple of months will all be a distant memory - that you'll be so happy and so healthy, this will all seem very vague, almost as a dream. That is my fervent wish for you, my dear. We're all praying for your healing. Hope the procedure goes well for you. -Deb W.

The endoscopy is no big deal. You are given a mild sedative and the procedure takes 10-15 min. I have had 3 strictures and had all of them balloon dilated. I went back to work an hour after each of them. Good luck!
