explain, what are you meaning, I was approved once by my insurance and got an okay by my personal physcian.

Hi Beverly: I don't hear too much of folks being denied the wls by their insurance./ I am on insurance co. number 2. They will not pay for this surgery. I just got tired of calling them and writing them. even my surgeons office stopped resubmitting my claim. I guess it is not meant to be. Thanks for answering . Shine

Shine there are lots of people on the board who have been denied numerous times. maybe they will write in and share their problems too. so why are you being denied, lets start with that and then maybe we can figure out what else you need.

United Healthcare denied, because Wls not covered. We appealed with Sleep Apnea, asthma. Umbilical Hernia and on and on. then my employer changed insurance and so then we submitted again, with a wonderful letter from my pcp extra documentaion and so forth. they denied. They want me to be under a Dr. supervised diet along with other professional people. So I joined W.W. and weigh in at the Dr.'s office. I can play their games. doing good on W.W. shine I need to be supervised for 6 mo.

I am waiting to hear that I'll be denied again from Definity Health, a third party administtrator for my self insured employer. Each time they have denied me I presedn tsupporting info that qualifies me. So then they go digging deeper and find something else. If I can dispute that then they tweak the wording and say welllll, that's what we MEANT even if it isn't what is in the plan booklet. NEVER EVER will I work for a self insured employer again!!
