Hi Everyone! I just found out that I passed all of my pre-op testing and I have a green light for surgery on 02/04/04!! Of course I already had my bag packed last week. I want to thank EVERYONE that has helped me to get this far this quickly and EVERYONE who has ever sent me a single word of support! And you know who you are! Please keep them coming; I'm starting to get scared witless! T minus 9 days and counting... & Sherry Open RNY 02/04/04

I asked my anthesiologist if anyone had gotten right down off the table and left the room. He laughed and said yes, but that it didn't happen offen. when i got in the surgery, one of the things I noticed was they were tying me down. when I asked, he laughed and told me it was to keep on the table. I was still having second thoughts then. Good luck to you and take care of yourself. take some sugarfree candy and gum with you. your mouth will get awfully dry not to mention that it was taste yucky. get a selection, because I couldn't tolerate sweet tasting candy at all but did like the trident sugar free gum. also the hospital will have swabs for you there are the mint flavored ones you have to stick in water and a closely kept secret, they have premoistened lemon one, that were great when I was nauseated.

Good luck with your surgery! Im hoping I wont be far behind you, I called my insurance company and it sounds like they will approve me soon, too! The doctors office said, they could set my surgery date within a week or two after they get the green light. My prayers are with you! Anne Combs Sioux City Iowa
