My post the other day was not the last. I'm able to sneak in one more visit to this site before Monday. I'm working as much overtime this week as I can, but just couldn't stand not to check in. Thanks so much for the well wishes for my surgery on Monday. I had my last presurgical visit today, the hematolgist for the blood cloting problem. Putting me on Lovenox and SCDs so I don't clot but have to wait a day so I don't bleed out. Now my nerves are really shot. Well just wanted to say thanks again and hope to let you all know how things go very soon.

Leslea, I have a family history of Factor Five Lieden Mutation. I personally have never been tested for it but my surgeon gave me lovenox injections while I was in the hospital just in case. The bruises I had from those sub q (in the stomach) injections were worse than my open RNY bruises! Will be watching for a post from our newest loser! Elizabeth

Elizabeth.....they didn't let you choose where you wanted the shots??? They gave me a choice of upper arm or tummy.....and with all the pain done there....I chose the arm everytime.....I had terrible bruising....that and all of my veins were shot so I had major bruisinf up and down both arms from trying to get IV's and such going! I was in the hospital 6 days...the day after I got out...I went shopping with my mom....I was washing my hands after going potty(had my sleaves rolled up) and this lady just kept giving me dirty looks and I couldn't figure out why??? Finally it dawned on me...I must have looked like a junkie ....bruising all over my arms like that.....I said isn't that a thought.....the first morbidly obese meth head! It was funny at the time....with what looked like track marks all over the insides of my arms...It gave me my first really painful laugh anyways! Take Care Jesi
