6 days to go

Just 6 days til I go in for surgery. I had my H&P with my PCP today. He is more excited than I am, he keeps saying I wish I could get more of my patient's to do this. He has already had quite a few who have done the surgery and they did and are doing great. More confidence that I need getting very nervous, excited, hard to believe I am actually going to do this. But I guess I better not count my chickens before I am actually wheeld into surgery. One more consult to go. I now need to see the hematologist, I have a problem with blood clotting Leiden Factor IV deficiency is the formal way of saying I clot easily. BUT It is much better to be safe than sorry. I don't want to go through this and end up dead with a clot to lung or brain or heart in a week or two or when ever. This is most likely be my last post before I go in, have to use my mom's computer to get internet access right now so I am at her place sending this today, but wanted to update you all. THANK YOU ALL for the votes of confidence and I WILL send you a note to let you know how things go as soon as I can after. GOD BLESS AND see you on the light side P.S. My husband is the most wonderful man in the world,although I know many of you would say the same about your significant others, He made my most favorite meal Beef stroganouf, mashed potatoes, and scallped corn, and bought cheesecake for dessert. Then he bought me a hospital bear buddy for while I am in and a bunch of movies, magazines, and books to keep me from going nuts. What a man. My boys are doing okay so far, I have gotten some things for them for the day I go in and then while I am in just to keep them occupied with something other than my surgery. My youngest is very worried but he was a born worrier. Thanks again sorry so long but had to share with you all . This site ROCKS.

Best of luck! I am schedualed for my surgery March 11th. I'm scared but excited, I too will not know until I reach the opperating room! Let us all know how you are doing! See Ya on the lighter side too! Cheri
