I got to go for a ride in an ambulance on saturday because of my own stubborness. I was started on Zithromax for bronchitis and started having dizziness, shortness of breath and chest pain about a half hour after I took the first dose. I tried to be tough and just go lay down but I didn't make it. The next thing I knew I was laying on the floor with the paramedics over me. My blood pressure had dropped to 60/30 and I was breathing over 50 times per minute. Normal is about 12-20 breaths per minute. After being given drugs to conteract the allergic reaction I was fine and got to come home about 3 hours after it started. Make sure you tell your doc about ANY strange or new symptoms that arise when taking a medication. I took Zithromax one other time and DIDN'T tell my doctor about the dizziness and itching. This time it could have killed me.~~~AmyLynn LAP RNY 08-05-03 / -60 pounds

isn't that AKA antaflactic (sp) shock? Some day when your life slows down,( ROFLMAO!!!) you will have to learn to take better care of yourself. I am just really glad you are ok and doing better now. Behave yourself and don't make us come up there and kick your backside! Elizabeth
