Hi everyone. Well, it has been four weeks today since my surgery and I am down 30 pounds plus. Yippey!!! Starting to feel like everything is falling off of me. The diet that the center has me following introduces meats beginning this week. It suggests to try water packed tuna or chicken mixed with f/f mayo to begin then ground meats from there. It doesn't sound appealing to me. So far, I have tried a couple bites of ham with some ham and bean soup last night and was fine. Any other ideas, hints or suggestions? By the way, this is my first day back to work and I am sooooooooooo not enjoying it. Have been nauseated all day. Just trying to eat something now. Thanks for your support, Andrea

Andrea, I have been eating the thin lunch meat with cheese and of course cottage cheese. I am now starting to try a little more last night I tried barbequed chicken and it went well. I cut it in tiny little pieces and chewed and chewed. I am out in Arizona for another week it has been great have been walking outside a mile and a half a day. Have to come back next Monday and go back to work on Wed. I have had no problems at all with eating but I have found do it too fast or too big of a bite and I feel like it is a rock in my stomach. Good to hear you are doing well I can't wait to see what I've lost when I get home no scales here. Ann

Hi! A couple of things that worked well for me were canned white meat chicken put thru the food processor then made into salad. I ususally add a couple of hard boiled eggs to this too for extra protein. (protein is in the white of the eggs) Also, something that is kind of salty, but tasted great to me was mixing canned corned beef (the kind with the litttle key to open it) mixed with some dry onion soup mix and sour cream. Mix it really well (i usually microwave it for a little bit to make it easier to stir) then either eat it cold or warm in the microwave for something hot. It is kinda salty like I said, but I was searching for something diffeent when I remember my Mom used to make this into sandwiches that she wrapped in foil and baked in the oven until the bread was toasted. So something that works for both you and your family. hope these help. Elizabeth
