Heeeeeeeeeellllllllllpppppppppp!
Just for the hell of it I went to the Doctors office to be officially weighed. I weigh 220. My height I screwed up too. It is 5'4". Meaning my BMI is about 37.9. Which means I no longer qualify for the surgery.
I do have other Co-Morbidities such as: Incontinence when I laugh, sneeze, or cough. I get severe heart burn after about every meal, I notice it especially when I am sleeping. I get out of breath going up a small flight of stairs, my lower back and hips hurt all the time. I am pre-hypertensive with a blood pressure of 130/80. Does that mean I will no longer qualify?
Sounds like you might have a problem with gastric reflux, especiially if you are bothered in the night. There are medications to help with this. You should talk with your doctor. I have it and was on Nexium, which controlled it pretty well. I had the bypass surgery and now it is flaired up terribly, but we are hoping this will be a temporary thing, and it will calm soon. Some insurances will quailfy you even if your bmi is a bit low, if you have other problems that may be eleviated by losing weight. You need to talk with your insurance rep and see if yours will do so. God luck nd take care!
You might have acid reflux like she said, but I had GERD, GastroEsophagalRefluxDisease. anyhow I took that nexium too, that was great. A lot of times the docs will give ya a sample.
anyhow, ever since my surgery, I have had little to no problems with this at all! EVER!
feels great
Hopefully your doc can find a way around and get you approved honey. But right now, (I had the surgery 7 1/2 months ago) and you still weigh less then me, and I have lost 125 lbs. and I feel great at 235 and 5'4. But I know how you are feeling about wanting the surgery. Go for it girl.
You will feel and look great.
