New to the site

Just logged into the site; I had my bypass 2 years ago (had lots of complications) and have lost 180 lbs. I am interested in hearing from anyone who has undergone the plastic surgery for excess skin removal. Thanks Paula

Well there was a severe infection. I had to finally have part of my upper intestine removed. The bottom portion of my stomach is pretty much gone also... I had a feeding tube for 6 months. That really slowed the weight loss because they were feeding me 1200 to 1800 calories a day. I had to have an open incision heal and that took quite awhile. But once I got on track the weight came off and has stayed off for about 7 months. I am maintaining between 127 and 133. I never thought I could be thin... Anyway I am from Clinton IA. I tried to submit a profile but it doesn't work. Where are you from? Think positive, it is so worth it when you get reach your goals.

I am from Des Moines. Originally from Puerto Rico. I had to resubmit to another insurance co. If this is not a done deal. then I will look for other options. don't know what yet. good luck. Shine

Hey chick! Welcome to the board, and congrats on your weight loss. I think the FGC (fat girls club) needs to go out sometime soon... and you know Rosie is going to read this so I guess we have to invite her too. (HAHAHA!!! Teasing, Rosie!) There is a lady on here that has posted before that had a panni done, hopefully she will check the board soon and be able to give you some advice regarding the panni vs. the abdominoplasty. What kinds of complications? I was rejected by insurance times 2. united healthcare. today I am resubmitting with principal. tell me of your troubles if connected to the bypass. please. shine from des moines.
