Oh my goodness, I did not think that I would have this hard of a time during the holidays, but it is TOUGH!!!! Big dinner at my Mom's house yesterday and I stayed away from all of the sweets, but ate about 4 fritos and 4 fishy crackers yesterday. Today, I was doing better at home, then went shopping with my sisters and was feeling weak because hadn't had hardly any protein, so bought some cheese slices and crackers. Only ate 4 squares of cheese and two crackers, but am not supposed to be on crackers yet. Any advice? Thanks, Andrea P.S. Saw the surgeon on Christmas Eve and have lost 25.5 pounds in 2 weeks and 2 days - Yippie!!

Try not to beat yourself up. Follow Dr.'s orders, but crackers shouldn't hurt you. If you haven't had problems yet, you should be ok. They get soft when you eat them. Something about a test that if they disolve in a glass of warm water, they are a soft food. I know what you mean about the weak feeling. I have a borderline hypo-glycemic problem. (blood sugar drops too low) I try to use juice or something, but that isn't always available. Sounds like me you made a good choice. ok, off my soap bax now! lol Keep up the great work on the weight loss! Elizabeth

Andrea, Hang in there and don't beat yourself up. Just jump back on track. Make sure you get all your protein in each day. I know it is easy for me to say and hard to do. If I don't get all my protein in, it hits me the very next day, just like you describe. I am wiped and have no energy. I found it easier to get my daily protein in by starting each morning with a protein drink. It gives me 1/3 of my daily requirement, it is something that I can mix up fast and drink on my way to work. I like my sleep and didn't want to have to wake up 45 minutes earlier just to cook and sit for 30 minutes eating breakfast. You are doing great! Keep up the great work! Janine
