Pre-op Testing

I had indicated to my surgeon's office that I would be having some time between Dec. 24 and Jan. 4 off from work if that would be convenient time to set up some of my testing, it would also be convenient for me. Yesterday I received a call from them that on Fri. Dec. 26 I need to be to the hospital at 7 a.m. for lab work, EKG, ultrasound, and a cat scan. I guess there won't be any after-Christmas sales for me nor late night Christmas night snacking. I have to fast 12 hours before some of the tests. I figure, oh well, a little sacrifice now will reap big rewards down the road. This just puts me one step closer to surgery. I have my psychiatric review on Jan. 12th. I'm not sure what other tests I will need to have. I know I don't need a sleep test since I already have my c-pap. Anyway happy holidays to everyone! Gail

Well, Gail, one good thing is that you only have to fast one time instead of 3 separate times like I did. Good luck. It is so worth it. My surgery was 2 weeks ago. I went in for my appointment today & am down 34 lbs already. You've chosen a great group to work with. Dr G is so busy but his support staff is well trained & are super. Dixie
