How do you get all the water in, if I drink to fast or take a large amount, I really pay. But doing sips I just can't seem to get much over 35 ounces in and I know I need more. Theresa

I know this is gonna sounds strange to you but try drinking your fluids warm or room temp. I can not handle anything cold. When I try I get pain and I have to stop. If I drink warm or room temp fluids I can always get in at least 80 ounces a day. I tend to do alot of hot decaf tea and just fill a gallon jug in the am and let it sit on the counter all day long. Some days I can drink the whole thing and others I can't. Amy LAP RNY 08-05-03 / -55 pounds

Great idea, someone gave me the same advice & it really does help to drink it at room temp or hot decaf tea. I make decaf tea in my ice tea pot without the ice, works wonderful. Denise

I have always ENJOYED water and other COLD drinks! I was so concerned right after surgery because I could only sip a teensy bit of water. But as I've gone through time (7 months today) - I can now drink normal drinks of water - can't chug a 16 oz. bottle of water like I used to - definately takes a little more time! But the point I want to make is that in a few weeks/months it will get easier and feel easier to get the amount of liquid you need into your day.
