hi My surgery is Monday, December 22, 2003, I woke up with a cold or something yesterday. Went to the doctor, had a 102 degree temperature. Feeling better today. He gave me medication and told me I should be over this by Sunday. Right now, I have a stuffed up nose and a runny nose. Will they still do surgery? Thanks Lisa

Lisa, I would THINK that if you haven't been running a fever for a few days that you should be ok, but like with everything else, check with your surgeons office.

It will probably all depend on your white blood count rather than having the sniffles.....I felt healthy as a horse....but for some reason my white count was a little bit high....very little....they almost cancelled me....we had to get surgeons permission and anthestheologist approval first....Good luck and I hope everything goes well.......
